One of the problems that Belgrade is having in many areas is a completely user-unfriendly approach to signae design. The bus stop design I’ve done here features signs in both Serbian and English, where Serbian is written in both Cyrillic and Latin scripts. The signs on the stop are also all back-lit so as to allow for easier identification in night-time.
One of the goals while designing the sign on either end of the stop was to make it painfully obvious that it’s a bus stop. I consider it important to give users a certain degree of assurance that their actions will have an intended outcome (like waiting for a bus at the right location will lead to a bus ride). Hence the sign features a large bus icon.
Other elements also work towards building the comfort zone for the users. The bus lines map which is large and back-lit, as well as the clearly denoted lines that pass through this station will enable users to feel more secure about their actions, and create a more pleasant experience.
I was asked to do a video for Vladan Lucic, that would play in the background on a full HD big-screen in his Belgrade office. Although the showcase vid was supposed to just show his products, I wanted to add an intro sequence so that the same vid could be used online on YouTube and Flickr.
For the task, I used Blender 2.53 (still beta). The photos that were used for the sequence are taken from the web site project and were UV-projected onto 2D meshes. The gates were mapped onto gate-shaped meshes and were animated to slide open. Once the gates are open, the world of wrought iron beauty would reveal itself. Of course, the actual wrought iron world is still being worked on. :)

This is an illustration I did in Blender for the Arch Linux Handbook (2nd ed) book cover. The idea was to create something that would remind Archers of the infamous and immortal “Don’t Panic” release. Hopefully, nobody will have to panic with this handbook, a wire cutter, and a mug of freshly brewed coffee. :)
Lay Low sofa was inspired by pure laziness. It has no back, and hence you can either sit on it supporting your back yourself, or you can lie on it comfortably, which is the preferred scenario. Oversized (60cc) Cube lights and Cube light shower (back) are also shown. Cube light is the same concept as the light box by Gus Modern. The cube shower light is my original concept.
