Loveffee Beta Launched

I love and drink coffee every day. Sometimes, I desperately need it, and other times I just enjoy it. So it’s occurred to me, for health reasons and otherwise, that I might want to keep track of how much of it I actually drink. The beta version of Loveffee was thus born.

UPDATE: The official Loveffee blog is now live, as well as the Twitter feed and support forums.

Loveffee is for now a very simple journal of your coffee drinking. After logging in with your google account, you can enter the amount and kind of coffee you’ve just had, and it will add it to your personal coffee drinking database.

On your dashboard, you will also be able to track daily caffeine intake for the current day. It can also warn you if you’ve had too much. Incidentally, 700mg (7 shots of espresso) of caffeine is overdose material, so be careful. I’ve scoured the web for information on caffeine content of various types of coffee.

Of course, it all depends on the method of preparation, so those numbers can be off more often than not. I hope though, that they won’t be too off. I use the site myself, so you know, I don’t like using things that are too broken.

Below the caffeine bar, you’ll find the list of coffee drinks you’ve had during the past 30 days, sorted by date. During the beta period, I’ll be adding new stats, graphs, and whatnot. And of course, currently there are no tips displayed below the dashboard, but that will also be fixed.

Currently the site has no privacy policy, but I can tell you right now that your email address is not going to be displayed to other users. Of course, I can see your email address, but believe me, I don’t care. If you want an email from me, you will email me yourself, ok? :)

There are currently no ads on the site. I do plan on making some money with this site, but I will promise you this one thing: I’ll make darn sure you won’t be seeing ads you don’t care about, and too many of the other ones as well.

That’s all for now. So, grab your cup, and enjoy! I’m looking forward to your feedback.
